“Yesterday is like a cancelled check. Tomorrow is a unsecured promissory note.

Today is like prepared money. Use it sensibly, for today is the most valuable possession you can have” ( incognito ). “Worry is a thin stream of fear trickling thru the mind. If inspired, it cuts a channel into which all the other thoughts are drained”. Some wag has expounded that worry is the interest we pay on difficulty before it falls due. There’s a joke about the patient in the psychological surgery who had his ear to the wall, listening intently.
He waved the attendant to listen. The attendant pressed his ear against the wall and ultimately expounded, “I don’t hear anything.” “No,” answered the patient, “it’s been like that all day!” So it is with us occasionally. We adhere to an invisible wall waiting for something extreme to occur and it never does. If we have elevated blood pressure, we just might worry ourselves into another world. Poor folks worry because they never appear to have enough and certain affluent people worry because they cannot get enough.

The person whose gluttony surpassed room to store his grain is an example of futile worry : “What shall I do? I don’t have any place to store my crops” ( Luke 12:17 ). God took care of it for him : “You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you” ( Luke 12:20 ). His hours were up and his fear about his wealth worthless.

“Do not be concerned about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God”. The answer to worry appears to be the angle of gratitude which covers a large number of vicissitudes!
